KIMCHI STEW

1 pound thinly sliced beef, we use flank or flat iron steak
1 onion, sliced
5 garlic cloves minced
2 cups kimchi, roughly chopped
2 tablespoons good high heat oil
1 tablespoon Korean chili powder or flakes which ever you have or both
1-quart beef or chicken stock or broth
Sesame seeds for garnish
Toasted sesame oil for garnish
Green onions for garnish

1. Heat oil over medium high heat until nice and hot

2. Add onion, garlic and chili powder or flakes and cook until onions are translucent

3. Add beef and cook until browned

4. Add kimchi and stock

5. Turn down heat to medium low and cook for 30 minutes

6. Garnish with sesame seeds, sesame oil and green onions

7. Serve with warm rice
